STRAITS TIMES MEDIA CLUB CAMP
It suppose to be a 2 days non-residential camp, but however. Since everyone was caught up on the first day.
All of us only went on the second day, 12th December. But nontheless, it was great!
Was told to meet at 9am, but reached there at around 8am. Exactly one hour early.
Started off the day by having to wait at the coffee shop nearby SPH with those uncles, watching tv and listening to radio.
Actually wanted to order kaya toast even though I already had my breakfast before leaving.
But I wouldn't want to spent my only 10bucks left in the wallet. Haha, okay I am weird.
93.3fm morning show is really entertaining, and it somehow brighten up my morning with a :D
That's why, it's always my favourite radio station(:
After that, headed back to SPH and started ice-breaking games and was assigned to a group called Little Red Dot.
There were many different sections in Straits Times Newspaper, such as Sports, WorldNews, Intimes, etc.
Had a tour to the Information Resource Center and the Newsroom.
Followed by Newspaper Printing Center to know how Newspaper was being printed out and distributed around Singapore.
And how the whole system works and the process of printing.
There was also a radio workshop by Jeremy Ratnam, a deejay from 91.3fm.
You know leow's t-shirt was being stolen and how we wanted to get the t-shirt desperately, if you happen to read this.
But leow already gotten his shirt when he participated in a survey conducted by 91.3fm, so it left me who haven't get it yet.
So I thought I shall answer some quiz and get the goodie bag, in an excitement to open it and find the shirt inside!
But in my disappointment, it doesn't have the t-shirt ):
Leow, if you are reading this better don't laugh at me okay! Haha.
A moment later, there was an interview with MTV VJ, DENNISE KELLER.
She share with us about her being as a VJ, and of course about her life!
Phototaking and autograph session with her, and she's really friendly :D
The last programme of the day was a prize presentation for Straits Times Newspaper Competition.
Was really proud that our school won first in the subsidiary prize for newsletter competition.
And merit for the Straits Times Newspaper Competition 2008.
Congratulations to Yuying Media Club members for participating(:
Baked chocolate tart with mum on Thursday(:
But the picture taken is without chocolate because it is still baking-in-process.
The moonlight's so beautiful, tonight.
